Silicon valley career & technical education

Calero High School students who have recovered all of their credits and are on track to graduate may be recommended to attend SVCTE in the afternoons.  These courses earn a-g credit.  This program is part of our Success PLUS program at Calero.  Priority will be given to seniors.  Juniors are accepted if they have met Calero's requirments and as space allows.  For more information please contact our school counselor, Ms. Fernandez, at fernandezmar@esuhsd.org

 

Silicon Valley Career Technical Education Mission:

 

Silicon Valley Career Technical Education offers state-or-the art programs taught by industry professionals who engage students in rigorous, real-world academics and skills development designed to support their success through college and in their future careers.


The Silicon Valley Career Technical Education offers courses within 13 industry sectors where junior and senior high school students can explore and develop technical skills that will lead them to higher education or into the workplace. 


Students attend half-days on the Silicon Valley Career Technical Education campus and half-days at their home high schools for a semester or an entire school year. Free-of-charge busing is available or students may drive or be transported to the campus.


Silicon Valley Career Technical Education day career technical education classes are designed specifically for high school students; adults may register on a space-available basis, only.
